Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths:
Endurance/Determination - This strength covers many areas ... for Blackout,
his endurance is perhaps his greatest quality. Though he is not a
conditioned "Iron Man" as some more technical competitors have proven
themselves to be, his sheer will to win and love for pain is what drives him
to keep on going no matter what the cost. Whether he must go until his body
will not allow it any longer or if he should put his body in harm's way and
through unsurmountable anguish ... Blackout's determination is that which is
rarely rivaled by any of those who oppose him.
Weaknesses:
Technique/Self-Preservation - As with his strength, this weakness also
covers many areas. Firstly, Blackout is not a traditional wrestler by any
means. Though through his years he has picked up a few tricks of the trade,
you will not see him outwrestling anyone anytime soon. He falls victim to
counters and takedowns more often than he would like, but he makes up for it
with the brutality of his offense. Also, since he does not know when to
call it quits in a match, he often ends up with injuries that plague him
later on in his career. Certainly not the smartest competitor when it comes
to protecting himself. Opponents are quick to pick up on this if they feel
they can exploit this obvious disadvantage.
Manager Information
Name: Ashley Brooks
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 168lbs.
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Physical Description: Quite simply, this girl is very well-built. She's
in great shape, looking as though she could actually compete
against some of the guys in this industry and truth be told, she
probably could if she were properly trained. She has long, wavy
red hair atop her head and bright green eyes with somewhat pale
white skin which is common with most redheads. She has a small
patch of freckles across her the bridge of her nose and she has a
thin, sculpted jawline. All in all, she's a very pretty girl and the fact
that she's got almost stereotypical T&A attributes causes people
to underestimate her, believing that the only reason she's at
ringside is for her looks. This couldn't be further from the truth.
Ring Attire: Nothing flashy here. She can usually be seen wearing
a pair of tight blue jeans, a pair of black biker boots, and a black
leather halter top that leaves her midriff and upper back bare and
does well to keep her chest covered. She certainly doesn't flaunt
what she has, even though she's got it.
Personality: Ashley will do _anything_ to help Blackout if she
thinks he needs the assistance. However, she won't _always_ get
involved. The only times you'll see her getting involved is if the
wrestler he's facing decides to go after her for some reason or if
Blackout could possibly lose the match if she doesn't. She'll do
anything from pulling the referee out of the ring before the three
count to actually dragging Blackout out of the ring to get him out
of harm's way. She tries not to directly attack his opponents
though, but instead will often grab a weapon for Blackout to use
and she'll give it to him when they aren't looking.
Misc. Information
Personality: Blackout is a sometimes difficult person to figure out ... one
moment he's ruthlessly out to kill someone and the next he seems to be a
passive, nonchalant, uncaring individual. However, if anyone
decides to get on his bad side, there are few who are willing to go to the
lengths in which Blackout is willing to take it. In this business, there are
not many who are as truly bloodthirsty as he is. Blackout will do whatever
it takes to win, whether it means breaking the rules or not. Thankfully, in
the USJP, he won't have to worry about breaking any rules and he will be
free to beat the shit out of his opponents as much as he would like, which
is one of the main reasons it appealed to him so much in the first place.
Background:
Blackout was born Michael Jason Whitmore in Chicago, Illinois on October
13th, 1975. Not much is known to the public about his past, but rumors have
dug up a story which could either be a falsification or the actual truth.
As the story goes, he was a member of a middle class family, but he did not
have the drive in school that most other kids had. Instead, he had dreams
of becoming a professional wrestler someday and proving to everyone that he
didn't need to score high on tests to make something of himself.
Upon graduating from High School, he set out to join a local independent
wrestling promotion. The pay was slim to none, but he loved it nonetheless.
He adopted the name "Blackout" as well as a persona that started as a
fairly weak villain and slowly snowballed into one of the most hated
characters in all of the industry. Now, he has been accepted as a wrestler
and not simply just some character that is there to provide entertainment
and plotlines. As well as being accepted by the rest of the locker room, a
large portion of the fans have accepted him as one of the most well-liked
personas in the business. Not that he would ever acknowledge it, but the
fact remains.
Started as a mid-card wrestler in a small time fed and hardly ever caught a
break, losing most of his matches. He was then approached by three other men
who saw his true potential and they aligned forces, starting up a group that
was then known as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The foursome
slowly became a dominant force, seemingly inseparable. Their reign spanned
across many promotions, though their most notable was in the SCRA and the
GLCW. However, Blackout soon grew tired of sharing the spoils of battle with
his comrades and they grew tired of living in his shadow, as he was the
most noteworthy or them all. But instead of attacking one another, they all
decided that disbanding would be the better way to go about their separation
The other three disappeared, never to be seen again, while Blackout
continued to wreak havoc on the GLCW.
Though he became extremely successful, Blackout found himself constantly
being pushed toward the top, only to be brought back down before he could
ever even get a shot at what he secretly desired ... a World Championship.
On top of this, he grew frustrated by the promotions constant closing and
opening, so he decided it would be for the better to simply leave the GLCW
once and for all. Now, he seeks to regain his status as one of the most
fierce competitors in the industry ... as well as one of the most vicious.
By joining the ranks of the IWF/WOW, there was a new hope for the Lone
Horseman as before him stood new competitors that he had never faced in
a federation that has, perhaps, never seen the likes of him in all of it's
storied past. Unfortunately, not long after joining that promotion, he found
out that he had joined right on the brink of its end as the ship went down only
after he had but a few short matches.
Since then, Blackout went on to sign up for the R-Cup IV, where he
competed in a brutal tournament to decide who the best in the industry
today was. Defeating the odds-on favorite to win, Edmond Winston IV, he
then went on to face "Bad Eye" McBaine in the semi-finals. He then went on to
compete in the USJP, ultimately winning the USJP Title before it then closed
its doors. Now, with the promorion reopening, he once again finds himself
ready to get back into the ring for the only company that holds any lasting
appeal to him.
